Photovoltaic welding strip, also known as tin-plated copper strip or tin-coated copper strip, divides the streaming strip and interconnection strip, and is used for the connection of photovoltaic modules.
Summary:
Welding strip is an important raw material in the welding process of photovoltaic modules. The quality of welding strip will directly affect the current collection efficiency of photovoltaic modules, and has a great impact on the power of photovoltaic modules.
The welding strip must be soldered firmly during the process of series battery, so as to avoid the phenomenon of false soldering. The manufacturer must decide which type of welding strip to use according to the characteristics of the battery. The general standard is to determine the thickness of the welding strip according to the thickness of the battery and the number of short-circuit current. The width of the welding strip should be the same as the width of the main deletion line of the battery.
Manual welding requires that the softer the welding strip is, the better it will be. The soft welding strip will contact the battery very well after the soldering iron passes. The stress produced in the welding process is very small and the debris rate can be reduced. But too soft welding tape will reduce the tensile force, it is easy to break. For automatic welding process, the welding strip can be slightly harder, which is conducive to welding machine butt welding straightening and pressure welding, too soft welding strip with machine welding easy deformation, thus reducing the yield of products.

Welding tape packaging and Application
Generally speaking, small photovoltaic modules such as welding lamps and lanterns have low requirements for soldering iron, small size of the panel itself, and low requirements for the heat of soldering iron. Generally speaking, 35W soldering iron can meet the requirements of welding lead-containing soldering belt, but it is necessary to build lead-free soldering belt when welding. It is suggested that the manufacturer should use 50W electric soldering iron as far as possible, and use lead-free long-life soldering iron head, because lead-free soldering tin oxidizes quickly, which will cause considerable damage to the iron head.
It is relatively easy to weld lead-free solder strips. Generally, it is enough to compensate the temperature of soldering iron by choosing a suitable flux. But it is really a lot of trouble when soldering lead-free solder strips. Many manufacturers feel headache about this. Lead-free soldering iron head oxidation is very fast, to keep the iron head clean, in the heating state it is best to bury the iron head in solder, before use to fling off the excess solder head. The contact ends of the iron head and the welding strip should be repaired as much as possible with the width of the welding strip, and the contact surface should be smooth. Soldering flux should be lead-free and non residual flux.
